What We Do:

  • Food Produced in Classes Donated to Local Food Banks

Program participants gain valuable hands-on experience and develop critical job and life skills as they prepare meals which are donated to local food banks at an average of 2,000 meals per 12-week session. Food insecurity is addressed as students give back to the community while utilizing their newly acquired skills.

  • New Milford Senior Center Congregate Meal Provider

Community Culinary School graduate and Senior Center Chef, Jason Streck-Weller, manages the congregate meal program at the New Milford Senior Center located at The Richmond Center, 40 Main Street, New Milford. Lunches are served weekly, Monday through Thursday. The nutritious and delicious meals are dietician-approved, in keeping with all state nutrition guidelines.  Students participate in the preparation and service of these meals as part of their training.   • Emergency Food Provider, Town of New Milford

The Community Culinary School stands ready to provide meals to residents and emergency workers in the event of emergencies effecting New Milford such as power outages and weather-related events.

  • Community Dinners

 Our monthly Community Dinners serve as an opportunity for guests to break bread with family, friends, and neighbors, and meet new people, over a tasty full-course meal prepared and served by students under the direction of Chef Instructor Blythe Roberts.
