- Gary J. Lucente, President
Gary has lived in New Milford with his wife Terri for 35years. He is retired from Gary J Lucente & Associates and now consults for Medling-Lucente and Associates a Litchfield based Independent agency providing financial planning and insurance solutions. He currently serves as the President of our Board of Directors and is also on the Board of our local Community Credit Union.
- James Chiavelli, Vice President
After studying Architecture and Art History in college he spent several years in the photo industry followed by a stint building large custom homes in the Washington DC suburbs. The family moved to Brookfield in 1982. Since then he has worked in special interest publishing working with publishers in the U.K. as well as here in the US. He served on the board of directors of the Brookfield Craft Center for over a decade at a time when many capital improvements took place.
- Priscilla A. Williams, CPA, Treasurer
Priscilla is a graduate from Western CT State University with bachelor’s degrees in accounting and management information systems. She is a CPA licensed in the state of Connecticut. Her firm is located in New Milford, CT where she has been in public practice for over 14 years. In her spare time, she enjoys giving back to the community whether it be serving on the Board or chairing the Thanksgiving Basket program to help feed New Milford families in need each Thanksgiving.
- Lisa A. DiCandido, Secretary
Lisa and her husband settled in New Milford, CT over 20 years ago and raised their three children there. A fortuitous invite to a benefit for the Community Culinary School led her to embrace the school’s mission and later become a member of the Board. She is pleased to be able to help the School accomplish its goals by contributing in any way possible, including working on the annual benefit Gala and currently acting as Board Secretary. She also greatly enjoys sampling the delicious food created for School events by the Chef Instructors and their students!
- Gretchen Barbieri
Gretchen is a Branch Relationship Manager for Savings Bank of Danbury in New Milford, with 17 years at SBD. She is a Brookfield resident, wife of Vito, and mom of three grown children. Gretchen is a veteran banker with almost 40 years of experience in the industry, but at heart she is a dedicated foodie and adventurous cook. In 2017, this passion, as well as her interest in the community, helped spark her will to participate with Dawn and her fellow Board Members in helping the CCS grow and thrive.
- Alexander “Oley” Carpp
Having attained a Masters in Public Administration, Mr. Carpp served in many governmental and public capacities during his career, including as an Executive Director at the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development and CEO of Choose Worcester, a non-profit economic development corporation serving the City of Worcester, MA. Oley was also a small business owner having owned a restaurant and an ice cream store. Today he serves as a member of both the Town of New Milford’s Sewer and Economic Development Commissions and is Chairman of the Board of the Corporation for New Milford Economic Development.
- Carl Dill
Carl Dill wakes up each morning pleasantly surprised to welcome another day. Carl retired from the building material industry in 2007. He is a graduate of Syracuse University and has lived in New Milford since 1982. He lacks notable accomplishments other than being an excellent stone wall builder and harmonica player. He has served as auctioneer at Culinary School fundraisers in the past.
- Mike Nahom
Mike has been on the Board of the Community Culinary School for the last 7 years, serving as President for 4 of those years. Staying active in the community, he is also on the Town Council, Executive Board Member of the Economic Development Corporation & Track Coach at New Milford High School.
Professionally, Mike stays busy as the owner of 2 small Businesses in New Milford: New Milford Fitness & Aquatics Club & Eastern Connector Specialty Corporation, a small manufacturer.
He is married to Michelle, his wife of 28 years. They have three Children, Jackson 23, Mia 21 & Eli 19.
- Christopher Rodriguez
Chris has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and served 7 years in the Active Duty Army as a nurse. Upon completing his service, he moved into the logistics/transportation industry where he has worked for the past 34 years. For the past 20 of those years he worked for one of the nation’s largest tire recycling companies where he is Vice President. This is a socially responsible business, and with materials being used for many projects, including for the New Milford High School Artificial Turf Field Project several years ago. Chris has served on several charitable boards, both past and present, and have run many local and national fundraisers, including NY MS Society Bike Ride, Connecticut Children’s Hospital Golf Fundraiser, Suicide Prevention and Awareness Walks (Walk out of Darkness) and National AIDS foundation fundraisers.
