Students must be:
- At least 18 years old
- Physically able to withstand the rigors of a professional kitchen
- Able to work independently and follow multi-step instructions in a fast pace environment
- Planning to work in the food service industry upon graduation
- Prepared- have housing, transportation, childcare, etc. in order
- Willing to adhere to school policies and procedures
- Capable of the dexterity required for proper knife use

Tuition is free to qualifying students. Explore your eligibility for training funds through Workforce Connection in Danbury. To begin this process:
- Attend an information session at the Dept. of Labor, 152 West St., Danbury on any Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. We recommend that you arrive an hour early to allow time for check-in as these sessions fill up quickly. If it is more convenient you may attend one of these sessions at any Dept. of Labor office. Check with that office for days and times.
For students who do not qualify for Workforce Connection training funds other training funds may be available to you through the CCSNC program. Eligibility for this funding is based on income. Our qualifying process determines what portion of the funding you may be eligible for.
